La Poutine Week Vancouver 2020

What: The fest takes place during the first week of February. The dining public can eat and vote on their favourites before a winner is announced at the end of the week. As always, February 1 will mark the kick-off of the self-proclaimed “biggest poutine festival in the world,” and it will run until February 7.

Lunar New Year on Burnaby Heights

What: Burnaby Heights celebrates the Year of the Rat with merchants and shoppers on February 1 from 12 to 4 p.m. Attendees will enjoy Lion Dancers performing the traditional blessing ceremony at participating Heights merchants between Boundary Road and Gamma Avenue on Hastings Street. There will also be giveaways throughout the afternoon.

Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival

What: Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival is back for its 10th year celebrating all things hot chocolate. There are 44 participating ‘chocstars’ at this year’s fest, all of which are local purveyors. Each cafe, dessert bar, and restaurant has created sugary wondrous concoctions that take classic hot chocolates to a whole new level – there will be 114 drinks in total to explore.
