The Fair at the PNE

What: Since 1910, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual summer Fair at the PNE. This year features concerts by Billy Idol, TLC and UB40. Entertainment and attractions include Reveen, a video game exhibit, Knights of Valour Superdogs, PNE Prize Home, and more.

Reigning Champ Robson Street – Radical Retreat

What: Reigning Champ is celebrating their recent collaboration with District Vision by hosting two Radical Retreats this weekend at their Robson Street location. Max Vallot, co-founder of District Vision, and Mike Spino, former director of Esalen Sports Center and author of “Beyond Jogging,” will lead two workshops focusing on meditation, restorative movement and breath-awareness to naturally improve athletic performance. Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothing that will allow for movement.

Steveston Heritage Experience

What: ​The Steveston Heritage Experience leads you back in time on an interactive walking tour, stopping at four celebrated historic attractions—Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site, the Steveston Tram, the Steveston Museum, and the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Along the way, you’ll hear eye-opening tales of yesteryear village life, as told by a chatty local who seems to have just stepped from the streets of 1914. Carefully chosen food and beverage tastings will also be served, offering a taste of life back in 1914—culminating with a popular dish of that day (and today), delicious seafood chowder from local favourite Pajo’s, along with a craft brew from Steveston’s Britannia Brewing.

Segura has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Comedy Festival – Las Vegas, The South Beach Comedy Festival, and The Hong Kong Comedy Festival. He also co-hosts the podcast, Your Mom’s House, with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky.

Downtown Port Coquitlam Car Show

What: Pride 2019 celebrates the ten-year anniversary of the formation of New West Pride. From August 10 to 17, 2019, New West will come alive with rainbows and activities for everyone to enjoy. Pride Week will wrap up with the Pride Street Party, where Columbia street will be closed to traffic, and instead will play home for entertainers, community organizations, and food trucks.
