Dine Out Vancouver

  • What: Canada’s largest food and drink festival dishes up unlimited ways to enjoy the flavours of the city. Choose from a 17-day calendar of culinary events and experiences, hundreds of restaurants throughout the city and dozens of hotel options to create delicious dining experiences.

Vancouverite: A Comedy Show

  • What: Amber Harper-Young & Brent Constantine host Vancouverite, a comedy show featuring funny stories and stand-up about what adjusting to Vancouver has been like, from some of the best Vancouver comedians including Sophie Buddle, Randee Neumeyer, Julie Kim, Maddy Kelly and more.
  • Where: Hot Art Wet City – 2206 Main Street, Vancouver

Heathers The Musical

  • What: Equal parts social commentary and psycho thriller, Heathers the Musical arrives in Canada next month with guilt-free mayhem. Heathers The Musical is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer (Christine Quintana), a brainy, teenage misfit who never dreamed of getting in the most popular and cruel clique at high school. But she did. She also never dreamed of dating the dark and mystery new kid at her school. But she did. And she certainly never dream of killing anyone. But she kind of did.

Vancouver Giants v.s. Everett

  • What: Catch a Vancouver Giants hockey game at Pacific Coliseum this month as they play some of the best teams in the AHL.

  • When: Friday, January 15; 7:30 p.m.

Dirty Dancing

  • What: Broadway Across Canada presents the live theatre production of Dirty Dancing. See Baby and Johnny swing the night away, and face meddling parents and 1980s fashion disasters while they fight for true love. You’ll have the time of your life.

Homesteading Expo

  • What: Welcome to the Homesteading Expo! One weekend only, learn from your choice of live demonstrations, and onsite specialists, or enjoy roaming the vendor booths with treats, supplies, and information to make your homesteading dreams come true with Expo-only discounts!
  • Where: Vancouver Convention Centre – 999 Canada Place, Vancouver

Nat Bailey Stadium Farmers’ Market

  • What: Each week you can look forward to finding locally grown vegetables and fruit, meat and seafood from local ranchers and fishermen, artisan cheese and bread, herbs and seasonal nursery items, baked goods, prepared foods and artisanal craft.
  • Where: Nat Bailey Stadium – 4601 Ontario Street, Vancouver
  • When: Saturday, November 7 to Saturday, April 23 (Every Saturday); 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Street Food City

  • What: Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Street Food City is your opportunity to sample from a collection of Vancouver’s Street Food carts all in one convenient location.
  • Where: North Plaza, Vancouver Art Gallery
  • When: Saturday, January 16 to Sunday, January 24; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays

Hot Chocolate Festival

  • What: The Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival is back for its fifth year, and this time, even more chocolate makers have come together to spike their hot chocolate drinks with the wildest, most delicious flavours you can imagine.

Vancouver Giants v.s. Prince George

Hastings Park Farmers’ Market

  • What: After a successful trial season last year, we’re excited to return to Hastings Park for a full winter season! We were welcomed and supported by the local community with dedicated Vancouver Farmers Markets shoppers from all over the Lower Mainland. Located within a thriving community close to the highway and the Second Narrows Bridge, the Hastings Park Farmers Market is a perfect place to stop and shop.

  • When: Sunday, November 8th to Sunday, May 1st (Closed Dec. 27); 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ice Skating at Robson Square

  • What: The rink at Robson Square is operated seasonally by the provincial government when the temperatures begin to dip, running from morning into the late evening hours. Skaters can skate for free if they bring their own skates while those without skates can rent a pair on-site. There is also a concession stand serving snacks and warm drinks.

  • When: December 1, 2015 until February 28, 2016; times vary

Bill Burr at The Orpheum

  • What: Comedian Bill Burr will be coming to The Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, January 17 for a special Just For Laughs NorthWest Comedy Fest show.
