Metro Vancouver residents can expect warm and sunny skies throughout the week until Saturday, according to Environment Canada.
The federal weather agency is forecasting consistent fair weather over a period of five days. Beginning today, there will be a mix of sun and light cloud cover with mercury hovering at a high of around 20°C everyday.
Rain and cooler temperatures will return on Saturday through Monday, but early meteorological indications show that the interruption in sunshine will be brief. Long-term forecasts currently call for more sunshine beginning next Tuesday, after the Victoria Day long weekend.
Just outside Metro Vancouver, temperatures will reach into the mid-20s with Squamish hitting a high of 27°C by Wednesday.
