Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival in Jeopardy?

Dec 19 2017, 11:50 am

Hey Mr. Robertson, do the right thing. This festival is solid. It has sponsors and requires no money from the city of Vancouver to build a permanent boathouse. So what’s the hold up, good old political bureaucracy. The festival generates $2 million in economic activity and gives people an event to see here in this lack of major festivals/events city. Don’t be an asshat Gregor.

Now it’s more than likely that this will get done, which is great for the North East False Creek as this land is now soon poised to be developed. In just a few years a community for 7,500 residents, a few office towers and a large open air plaza (or the new home for the VAG) will be located there.
