Vancouver developers to build tallest buildings in Canada

A proposed Toronto waterfront complex could be home to Canada’s tallest buildings in Canada.  The proposal by Vancouver based Pinnacle International plans to transform Toronto’s waterfront.

According to the Toronto Star, the five-building site plan could include towers of 92 and 98 stories. The tallest towers are to be residential towers. The complex will include one 25 storey office tower.

The tallest building in Canada currently is the 72-storey, 298 meters, First Bank Tower at 100 King Street West in Toronto.

Vancouver with its height restrictions doesn’t not have many true skyscrapers. Our current tallest tower, the Shangri-La Hotel is just shy of 200 metres and is the 21st tallest building in Canada.
