Fistful of Kicks: An Improvised Kung-Fu Spectacular

  • What: Instant Theatre presents an improvised kung fu spectacular featuring some of the best Asian Canadian improvisers in Vancouver. Fistful of Kicks combines hard hitting fight scenes and epic storytelling for one can’t-miss show.

Story Story Lie Saturday Special

  • What: Vancouver’s best performers share intimate, hilarious, often embarrassing, stories that seem to odd to be true. The catch is, one story is a lie. Featuring Byron Bertram, Morgan Cranny, Angelica Poversky, Marlene Swidzinski and Allyson McGrane. Hosted by Jo Dworschak.

Sin Peaks: Rome

  • What: An improvised soap opera set in the year 1 B.C. The great Caesar Augustus has fallen and the Roman State has plunged into civil war. A struggle for power has broken out – who will ascend to greatness? Who will dine with the Gods? Sin Peaks is there to find out.

Vancouver Story Slam

  • What: Ten storytellers share original stories. Featuring Alix Born, Burcu Ozdemir, Cory Thibert, David Johnson, Deborah Kelly, Griffin Tedeschini, Lozan Yamolky, Mike Funergy, Owen Thomas, and T.J. Mair. The evening will open with a guest story from Kyla del Rosario.

The Bomb Shelter – Open Mic Comedy Show

  • What: A comedy open mic night that features Vancouver’s very best and absolute worst comedians. All skill levels are welcome – new stand-ups get 3-5 minutes to wow the crowd, and experienced amateurs and pros get 5-10 minutes. Presented by Suzy Rawsome and Comedy Basement.
  • Where: Goldies – 605 West Pender Street, Vancouver
  • When: Every Thursday at 10 pm. Signup at 9:30 pm.
