Here are 10 great comedy events taking place around the city this February.

What: Vancouver TheatreSports League rocks the laughs with their annual TheatreSports Festival, Throwdown (formerly called The Massacre). February 1 through 4 sees local teams compete in a round robin competition. Then international teams from Oslo, Mumbai, Orlando, Seattle and Montreal join the fray from February 9 through 14.

What: The long-running variety show hosted by Paul Anthony celebrates it’s ninth anniversary at The Rio Theatre with a Hot Tub Party. Featuring dance dynamo Nolan Dubec, stand-up comedian Ivan Decker, and I,Kandee performing an anniversary song.

What: The Fictionals are serving up Rambo-style romance at The Rio Theatre with Valentine’s Vengeance. Bring a friend, a lover, and friends who you want to be lovers, and enjoy Cupid Against Humanity comedy. Who will be the first Most Horrible Person in Vancouver of 2017?

What: Four international comedians come together to create one amazing show. Just for Laughs winner Dan Quinn is back along with MC Craig Campbell, Great Canadian Laugh Off winner Paul Myrehaug, and five time Canadian Comedian of the year nominee, Pete Zedlacher.

What: A huge range of comedians will perform at the second annual JFL NorthWest, including headliners Sarah Silverman, Trevor Noah, and Piff the Magic Dragon. Local stars also hit the stage in Best Of The West, including The Hero Show, The Ryan & Amy Show, and Graham Clark’s Quiz Show.
