The streets of downtown Vancouver were packed Sunday afternoon as thousands gathered to bring attention to British Columbia’s environmental issues.

Crowds began forming at 1 p.m. on the grounds of the Vancouver Art Gallery for the Vancouver Climate March. The event was formed in cooperation with a variety of environmental groups, to let Canada’s leadership know how they feel on the eve of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, France.

The temp is dropping, the climate is warming and the movement is growing! #climatemarchyvr
