Vancouver Christmas tree lighting 2015

Dec 20 2017, 2:33 am

The Christmas Tree Lighting at Jack Poole plaza has become an annual holiday tradition for Vancouver families. Back for its ninth year, the Christmas tree lighting will take place on December 4, where four beautiful trees will be lit up with festive lights (one that’s over 50 feet tall).

The free, family-friendly event features live entertainment, music, free cookies and hot chocolate, local food trucks such as mom, and fun activities for children.

And it’s all for a good cause. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, which helps enrich the lives of children through artistic expression. Donations mean the event remains affordable for everyone and they benefit programs by the Children’s Festival such as the Good Neighbour Program, Adopt a Class and the Hospital Outreach Program.

So if you want to watch a beautiful Vancouver event with your loved ones, the Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting is the perfect family-friendly activity to kick off the holiday season.
