7 places to get Christmas dinner to-go in Vancouver

Let’s be real, not everyone enjoys making Christmas dinner, but we all love devouring it.

If you still want to celebrate with a holiday meal at your home, but don’t want to commit to prepping, cooking, and cleaning – we’ve got you covered.

Here are seven places you can grab your festive dinner to-go in Vancouver.

1. The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver

The Sutton Place Hotel is offering their Christmas Turkey-To-Go dinner which includes an 18-pound roasted turkey, apple sage stuffing, seasonal veggies, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, gravy, and cranberry cheesecake. All of these items can be purchased separately or added onto a dinner, including a Yule Log dessert. This dinner serves approximately 10 to 12 people.

Orders can be made by phone. Pick-up time is from 11 am to 7 pm between December 24 and 26.

2. Copper Chimney Indian Grill & Bar

Copper Chimney’s Turkey To-Go Package includes a cumin and coriander roasted turkey, Yukon mashed potatoes, vegetarian stuffing, roasted root veggies, cranberry mango chutney, curry gravy, and eggnog mousse cake for dessert. This meal serves approximately 4 to 6 people.

3. Truffles Fine Foods

Truffles Fine Foods is offering a Christmas Dinner To-Go this year which features a whole roasted boneless turkey, buttered yam purée, a steamed vegetable medley, and chocolate pecan pie. This package serves approximately four people.

Orders can be made by emailing Katrina Macintyre at [email protected] (no later than December 19). Pick-up can be done at any of Truffles’ four locations on December 23.

4. Railtown Catering

Railtown’s Holiday Turkey To-Go package features a droolworthy selection of festive dishes including a 16-pound sage-roasted organic turkey, giblet gravy, an organic mesclun greens salad, apricot, chestnut, and brioche stuffing, maple-glazed sweet potatoes, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, baby carrots, Brussels sprouts, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, and classic pecan pie with chantilly cream for dessert. This meal serves approximately 8 to 10 people. Partial proceeds from the sale of each package will be used to serve meals to Mission Possible.

5. Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market has a plethora of combos and holiday meals that you can take to-go this season. Packages include a traditional meal for 8 with an organic turkey, a JD Farms turkey, a prime rib roast, or a honey-glazed ham dinner, a vegan dinner for 4, and a classic turkey meal for 4. All items included in these meals can be ordered individually in addition to Bûche de Noëls and a variety of hors d’oeuvres platters.

6. Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is serving up Turkey To-Go meals with all the sides. This package includes a Fraser Valley Turkey, sage and sausage stuffing, honey glazed heirloom carrots, Brussels sprouts, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, and spiced pumpkin pie. This package serves 8 to 10 guests.

7. The Lazy Gourmet

The Lazy Gourmet has a stellar holiday menu available for 2016. This feast includes Napa cabbage, raddichio, and apple salad; baguettes; a herb roasted turkey; mashed potatoes; gravy; cranberry sauce; sweet potato and kale stuffing; holiday veggies; and a selection of holiday baking. The Lazy Gourmet can accommodate dietary restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or dairy-free needs.
