Vancouver's massive Cherry Blossom Festival returns April 2020
The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF), one of the city’s most beloved annual events, is returning for Spring 2020.
It’s a celebration of the city’s gorgeous pink cherry trees and a welcome sight for the winter-weary Vancouverites.
The month-long event takes place this year from April 2 to April 26 and spans across all of Metro Vancouver.

VCBF shows off nearly 40,000 trees, many of which originated as gifts from Japan. The festival looks to express the city’s gratitude while celebrating the beauty and joy that blows with the flowers.
Many popular events that were held during last year’s festival, such as Sakura Days Japan Fair,Ā Sakura Night,Ā Cherry Jam Concert,Ā The Big Picnic, and Bike The Blossoms,Ā are expected to make a return.
Although the cherry blossoms make for fantastic photos, please remember to be respectful when visiting the neighbourhoods.
