Vancouver's all-inclusive Cheese and Meat Festival returns next month

Summer is packed with delicious food events around the region, but foodies are already looking forward to fall happenings like the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival.

The popular annual event is making its way to The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival guests will enjoy 150 curated pairings showcasing everything you need on a mouthwatering serving platter. Tickets are on sale now.

According to Festival Director David Bain, the goal of the festival is to create an experience that “connects the dots.”

“We want to keep the Festival boutique while delivering real value,” said Bain. “Every ticket includes access to everything. Not only is this the best way to form new snack habits, but you also get to learn directly from the producers and discover how to pair each item.

“The Festival lets you become the star of your next garden party.”

The Cheese and Meat Festival is all about indulging in small plates, so be ready to discover dozens of vendors showcasing their finest products through elevated bites.

When you arrive at The Pipe Shop, you’ll receive your own charcuterie board (yours to bring home) and a welcome drink. You’ll be fully equipped to discover the finest flavours with your all-inclusive ticket.

There’s something for all tastes to enjoy during each of the three tasting sessions. Bring your appetite as you’ll be dining on pairings like sharp cheddar with whisky, wine with spiced chorizo, and creamy brie with locally made bread and preserves.

The Festival is also teaming up with Fresh St. Market for a Coast-to-Coast Canadian Cheese Showcase.

The first-of-its-kind program gives guests a rare chance to try cheeses from across Canada, with cheesemakers from Nova Scotia to B.C. showing off their craftsmanship.

There will also be a Wines of South Africa showcase featuring a curated lineup of rare and exclusive wines.
