Bestie 105 East Pender Street
Be sure to check out Bestie, a friendly sausage and beer parlour in Chinatown. Inspired by German street food. Bestie serves a selection of sausages, hand-cut fries, and currywurst. The Pretzel & Mustard is a classic, and a great deal at only $3.50. While you’re there, be sure to try the delicious Cheese Fries for only $5.
Artisan Bake Shoppe is known for crafting pure and natural breads with organic grains and flours. They offer a wide variety of Bavarian eats, from German breads to pretzels. But the real draw here is their homemade apple strudel, delicious and sweet, and just $1.75.
Breka is one of the best spots in Vancouver for authentic German baked goods. Boasting a wide variety of Bavarian treats, they offer German Chocolate Cake, Black Forest Cake, and a variety of fruit strudels, all for under $5! Our favourite is their beef sausage roll for just $2.25. Did we mention they’re open 24 hours??
This is a great place for delicious snacks and tasty treats. They offer authentic German pretzels and Brötchen, but the real draw here is their German Apple Custard Pie for $4.95 a slice.
What better way to celebrate Oktoberfest than with beer flavoured cookies? Chow down on the Chocolate Stout Crackle Cookies at Terra Breads for $2.25 each.
