Food trucks have established themselves as a staple in Vancouver’s culinary scene, and rightfully so, as many are serving innovative dishes that rival any local restaurant. With summer about to officially begin, there’s nothing better than escaping the office on a hot sunny day to head outside on your lunch break. So when hunger calls, check out these meals on wheels with menu items for $10 or less!

Arturo’s Mexico To Go

Bringing “value, great taste, and convenience” to downtown, Arturo’s fusion menu of traditional Spanish and Mexican cuisine is made fresh every day. All menu items feature hormone-free meats seasoned to perfection. Must-try’s on the menu include the Quesadilla and Gringa (both $9.50), and of course Arturo’s signature made-from-scratch guacamole.

C’est si bon features a delectable sandwich menu and delicious pastries for lovers of French cuisine. Feeling savoury? Try the $8 Parisien sandwich on their signature Ciabatta bun. Johnny’s Pops

Few things are more refreshing than a popsicle on a hot summer day. These artisanal popsicles are the perfect sweet treat to beat the heat as the temperatures rise. Unique flavours include Avocado Lime, Rhubarb Elderflower, and Blueberry Mojito. Fruit and ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible and all popsicles are handmade in Vancouver. Aussie Pie Guy

Vancouver’s one and only Aussie pie food truck brings authentic Australian meat (and veggie!) pies to the streets. Owned and operated by three friends and pie lovers, Aussie Pie Guy aims to create the best Aussie pies and a “true Australian experience” to visitors of their truck. Feastro, the Rolling Bistro

Also know as “the famous purple truck”, Feastro has one of the largest menu selections of any food truck in Vancouver. With tasty seafood tacos, fish and chips, salads, sandwiches and other daily specials, Feastro uses all fresh and local ingredients. If you haven’t noticed this truck around the city, you’ve probably spotted them on the Food Network’s Eat Street.
