Since weekends are meant for brunch, and it just so happens to be Easter Long Weekend, it only makes sense that Vancity Buzz and Chowmenow dedicate this week’s cheap eats to eggs. Poached, scrambled, fried, or boiled, here’s where you can score some egg-cellent dishes for $5 or less.

You’ll have to venture to Coquitlam or Richmond, but even with transit fare the $1 breakfast means you’ll still be paying less than $5 for the trip.

Pork sausage, boiled egg, and fried until a crispy brown, grab a Scotch Egg at Bitter for a snack that’s worth the $4.95.

Skylight Café is one of those fixtures on Commercial Drive that epitomizes the ‘greasy spoon’. Get the works for $4.50.

Go figure that a place called Yummy Sushi also serves a traditional breakfast for just $2.99! For an extra dollar you’ll get refillable coffee.

The house-made bread is stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheddar, and green onion for $3. With good coffee, plenty of seating, and free WIFI, it’s not a bad place to get lost.
