It doesn’t get more Canadian than Big Rock Urban beer and a poutine, eh? All of their poutines on the menu are under $9. One of our faves is the Straight Up, served with demi-glace gravy and BC cheddar curds for $7.

Steel Toad Brewery
If you’re in the Olympic Village area, head to the Steel Toad Brewery for an after work drink during their Happy Hour (Monday to Friday 3 to 6 p.m.) where they serve $6 off any pizza on the menu. This would make our favourite, the Margherita Blanco, topped with mozzafina, oven dried tomatoes, ricotta and pesto cream, just $8.
