Vancouver Cheap Eats: 24 for $25

Dec 19 2017, 6:32 pm

This week we’ve found a full day’s worth of meals (that’s breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and dessert) all for $5 or less. Try them all in one day or spread the meals out in the week. Either way, Vancity Buzz and Chowmenow are sure you’re salivating at the thought so let’s get started…

Blue Mountain Café

No matter what time you wake up, you can start your day the Blue Mountain Café. They’re serving all-day breakfasts like buttermilk pancakes and coffee for $4.99 or their coffee and bagel sandwich (ham, egg and cheese) deal for $3.95.

Milk & Sugar Café

For lunch, try Milk & Sugar Café’s $5 teriyaki rice bowl. Choose from toppings like beef, chicken or salmon over a mountain of basmati rice.

Roxy Burger

If you start feeling a bit peckish before dinner, head to the Roxy Burger for $2 mini cheeseburgers to tie you over.

The Famous Warehouse

No stranger to Vancouverites, The Famous Warehouse is famous for many reasons, the most important being their amazing $4.95 menu. Their portions are generous too, so you won’t go to bed hungry. Our advice is to get there a bit early because there’s usually a line-up.

Breka Bakery & Café

Finally, don’t neglect your sweet tooth. Head over anytime (really, it’s open 24 hours) to Breka Bakery & Café and leave your fingerprints on their glass as you make the most difficult decision of your night – which dessert to get. All their desserts go for less than $5.
