The Vancouver Canucks have added to their forward depth with the signing of a 22-year-old prospect.
Latvian forward Anri Ravinskis has joined the organization, signing a two-year, entry-level contract with the Canucks. The contract is worth $775,000 at the NHL level, with a $97,500 signing bonus and a $102,000 games-played bonus, per PuckPedia.
“Anri is a player our group has been watching closely this year in Finland and more recently at the World Hockey Championships in Sweden,” said Canucks GM Patrik Allvin. “Finding European free agents like Anri is a good way for our organization to improve its depth. We like his size and body type and look forward to helping him refine his skills and get used to the North American pro game.”
Ravinskis is fresh off representing Latvia at the IIHF World Championship, where the 6-foot-3, 200-pound right winger scored two points (1-1-2) in seven games.
You have to think Anri Ravinskis' stint at the World Championships, particularly against Canada, impressed the hell out of scouts.
He was hitting everything.

Ravinskis split the 2024-25 season between a pair of professional leagues in Finland — Kettera Imatra of Mestis and HPK Hameenlinna in the Liiga. In 23 games with Kettera, he notched eight goals and 21 points. He had eight more goals and 17 points in 27 games with HPK.
Before his time in Finland, Ravinskis spent two seasons playing in the QMJHL for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. He also suited up for Latvia in the 2022 and 2023 World Juniors, where he scored a goal and had four points in 11 combined games.
Given that Ravinskis hasn’t played professional hockey in North America, fans should expect him to begin the 2025-26 season in the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks. He’s a player that will be worth keeping tabs on, however, as the Canucks brass clearly sees potential in his game.
