There is a portion of the Vancouver Canucks fan base that is currently losing their collective minds about a new affiliation with Hello Kitty.
Vanbase, the online retail store operated by the Canucks, teased a new line of merchandise via Instagram on Tuesday.
“We have someone new to say HELLO to,” Vanbase posted, before noting that the line will be available Friday in-store and online beginning at 10 a.m.
The photos shared by Vanbase show Hello Kitty stuffed animals wearing Canucks jerseys. It appears they’ll be available in both the Canucks’ blue and green orca jersey, as well as their black, red, and yellow flying V uniform.
The collaboration comes as Bruno Mars arrives in town with his own line of Hello Kitty merch.

The Vanbase comments section is what can best be described as a state of jubilation from Hello Kitty-obsessed Canucks fans.
“SCREAMING,” a fan named Stephanie responded.
“TAKE ALL MY MONEY NOW!” added another fan named Natasha.
Lexa, who runs the social media for @girlsatthegames, maybe said it best: “I AM READY.”
Anyways, stay tuned for Friday.
