Vancouver has been named the number one travel destination in Canada for 2015 by the travelers of TripAdvisor.
For their 2015 Travelers’ Choice™ awards, TripAdvisor is honouring 469 top travel destinations worldwide including lists for the major continents and popular nations like the U.S., China, Russia, and Canada.
The rankings are based on “millions of valuable reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travelers,” explains the travel site.

Vancouver nabs the top spot in Canada, thanks to our “snow-capped mountains, waterfront forests, cityside beaches, Olympic history, and the world’s highest suspension bridge.” Oh, and PS: “Hipsters welcome. (Don’t worry, they don’t bite.)”
TripAdvisor users are pretty fond of Vancouver; last year they named our Stanley Park the best park in the world.
There are 510 things to do here in Vancouver, according to TripAdvisor, including checking out Queen Elizabeth Park, VanDusen Gardens, and the Museum of Anthropology.
British Columbia is well represented overall on the list, which includes Victoria (4), Whistler (7), and Tofino (8). Check out the full list of 10 below.
