Moms are so busy looking after everyone else that they almost never take the time to spoil themselves, particularly when it comes to getting glammed up.
Vancouver based brand Aria Beauty decided to give back by launching The Ultimate Mommy Makeover contest that gives one lucky mom an over-the-top beauty experience, a massive gift package, and a photoshoot featured exclusively in Vancity Buzz. With the growing popularity of the contest, some of Vancouver’s premier companies have jumped on board with huge donations for the well-deserving mamas!
Aria Beauty chose Connie Peters, CEO and founder of modernmama.com, as their prizewinning Mommy. Connie is a mother of three who works tirelessly to support thousands of moms across Canada by providing a one-stop web resource for events, support groups, recipes, and tips for working or overwhelmed moms. She spends so much time helping others that she rarely gets time to pamper herself or go on the town with her husband. After working the camera for this shoot, they enjoyed an evening out courtesy of Cactus Club.
The shoot was hosted by one of Vancouver’s top salons, Sutro Salon. This gem on Vancouver’s West side specializes in colouring and extensions, and has a sparkling clean, luxurious atmosphere. Champagne was popped and a table of treats served as Vancouver celebrity makeup artist Brianna Errelat (briannaerrelat.com) got to work pampering Connie with Shu Eumura skincare and makeup products. Connie’s look was created to transition from desk-to-dinner with a bold eye and neutral lip, and a deeper red gloss option was given to Connie to take along for her date with hubby that night. Eyelashes were applied to ensure ultimate bombshell effect!
For the hair, Brianna used the Aria Beauty 25mm curling wand in Bellini. This wand is ideal for wedding styles, volume and lasting curls on fine hair, or creating beachy waves. Aria Beauty tools are designed to reduce damage while styling using gentle far infrared heat and negative ions, and leave the hair ultra shiny and resistant to humidity. Connie then had some 18″ Aria Beauty extensions clipped in (which she got to keep) to add gorgeous fullness and extra length to her naturally fine hair.
