Vancouver-based business looking to transform the photography industry

Bevis Gear Inc., a privately held small business owned and operated by Vancouverites and friends of 8 years, Matthew Bevis and Shawn Thomas Kennedy, have just launched their Kickstarter campaign today.

According to Shawn:  “Some of the best images are missed because photographers can’t access their equipment fast enough. Bevis Gear Inc. has developed a shoulder case called The Top Shelf. It offers an advantage over current carrying cases for enthusiasts to professional photographers. It takes about one second to access all your equipment using only one hand.”

Matthew Bevis is a photographer and the mastermind behind the product’s innovation. It took him 4 years to develop the prototype before he came up with The Top Shelf.  Shawn Thomas Kennedy recently quit his job to focus entirely on the Kickstarter campaign and the company. He has a marketing and hospitality background, and has been incubating the company with Matthew for the past 2 years. He truly believes in the product and he brings his business acumen to the table.

Their campaign target is set for $90,000. They are reaching out for support from local Vancouverites to help fund their first production run. Contributing to the campaign gives backers a discount on the purchase of the case plus some other great swag.
