Vancouver artists Flory Huang and Charlotte Spafford present new work in BECOMING

Jun 16 2016, 5:50 pm

Vancouver based artists and best friends, Charlotte Stafford and Flory Huang, present a new collaborative art show titled, B E C O M I N G. Open to the public for one day only, the show will feature new work from both artists created over the past few years.

Working primarily with ink and acrylic paint, Flory Huang‘s latest work features botany-based musings chosen on floral symbolism and highly detailed texture while incorporating surrealist portraiture of the human anatomy and hand lettering.

Charlotte Spafford, an abstract painter who creates images that are playful, whimsical, and full of colour, employs a mixed-media approach to give her paintings a sculptural and organic quality. Her latest creative explorations explore figurative elements in collage.
