“Art Party is an invitation to Vancouver to gather, spark and encounter art with wonder,” said Sirish Rao, interim co-CEO at the Vancouver Art Gallery, to Daily Hive.
“Whether guests are drawn by a performance, wander through an exhibition, raise a glass with friends or simply absorb the charge of creative company, Art Party is about the Gallery coming fully alive. It is a place where community collides, ideas shimmer, and joy is not just felt, but shared.”
Tickets are on sale now, and every ticket bought for Art Party helps to support the exhibitions, education and public programs at the largest public art museum in Western Canada.

This year’s theme is Ancient Futures, and you can show off your style by arriving in an Art Party outfit made with upcycled materials, remixed garments, or references to histories both personal and cultural.
Then snap a photo of it in the Rotunda, where Jim Lambie’s colourful installation sets the tone for the evening.
Take your time in the thought-provoking exhibitions on at the Vancouver Art Gallery, including That Green Ideal: Emily Carr and the Idea of Nature, Future Geographies: Art in the Century of Climate Change, and Highlights from the Collection.
There are also several vibrant performances and interactive activities that you won’t want to miss at the late-night Art Party. And yes, drinks will be available to enjoy while you get your art on.
