FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
The Vancouver Art Gallery will be transformed into a floral paradise by three of the city’s top florists for its annual summer gala this Friday, June 16.
Massive floral installations and digital projections will rise up during the exclusive evening where guests will mingle and celebrate the genius of French painter Claude Monet.
This year the gallery is giving attendees of the event an exclusive sneak preview of Monet’s ‘Secret Garden’ of Giverny as the exhibition isn’t open to the public until Thursday, June 24. And all proceeds raised from the event will support school and family programs at the gallery as well as exhibitions.
Not only does this exclusive event give you early viewing access to Monet’s first work in Canada in more than two decades, you’ll also get to enjoy cocktails, fine dining, and special performances throughout the evening.
You can purchase an individual ticket for the event for $1,000 or round up your friends to book a table for 10 for a great cause. Tickets are available online through Vancouver Art Gallery right now.
This year’s summer gala is being co-chaired by Pamela Richardson and Priscilla Lam with director Kathleen S. Bartels. It’s set to bring together Canada’s top art enthusiasts and philanthropists for a wonderful evening of fundraising.
Kicking off with a custom cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception at 6 pm, the gala also features a Monet-inspired dinner by Culinary Capers and a live auction later in the evening.
You’ll see the Canadian Screen Award-winning host of CBC Vancouver News at 6, Andrew Chang, lead the master of ceremonies. Social butterfly Fred Lee will be the guest auctioneer.
And that’s not all. Throughout the evening you’ll see performances from Vancouver’s Chor Leoni’s Men’s Choir and members of dance academy Goh Ballet. So you can expect a truly magical floral-themed evening.
The annual event could sell out so it’s advisable to snap your ticket up early to avoid missing out on this incredible experience.
