Vancouver man finds way to kill time while girlfriend shops at Aritzia Warehouse Sale

The Aritzia Warehouse Sale is still on for several more days, and a Vancouver man found an interesting way to kill time while his girlfriend shopped the sale.
Every year, lineups form ahead of the Aritzia sale, and this year the lineups were astonishingly long. Like previous editions of the sale, people were again lining up the night before.
Having a PS5 with you would probably kill time pretty quickly. Case in point: Jason, or JayDawg23, the man who brings his PS5 everywhere.
Jason was born and raised in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.
He recently shared a video of himself among the folks in the lineup at the Vancouver Aritzia Warehouse Sale, captioning it, “She gets her Aritzia, I get my 2K.”

Even Ronnie2K responded to Jason’s post. If you know anything about the NBA 2K community, Ronnie2K is one of the main brand ambassadors for the franchise.
We decided to chat with Jason about his PS5 journey because life is too short to be talking about politics and crime all the time.
“I’ve always loved gaming and always wanted to be a content creator doing something unique,” Jason said, adding that he’s always been good at making people laugh and smile.
We asked him how he started his PS5 journey.
“It really started when I had the idea to bring my PS5 and a 27-inch Roku TV to college. I brought the whole setup to class, and seeing the positive reactions from my teachers and classmates made me realize that I had something I could keep building on,” he told Daily Hive.
Then he started thinking about various places he could bring the PS5.
While he started with the 27-inch TV, the tech has evolved, and now he’s completely portable.
“As my content started growing, I was fortunate enough to get a sponsorship with POGA, a company that makes portable gaming cases. They loved my idea and wanted to support my content and journey. Having their portable gaming case made it a lot easier for me to bring my PS5 around.”
POGA is a German gaming brand. He now also has a portable power station, which helps in situations where he can’t find an outlet.
“It’s pretty crazy looking back,” he said, reflecting on how much his setup has changed.
He was even once interviewed by and featured on NBA 2KTV in Times Square.
He’s even up for taking on challengers, and during the Aritzia sale, someone did challenge him. Jason said this has been part of his journey, playing with others, interacting with people.
We asked him what his girlfriend thinks about his unique gaming content creation journey.
“She’s honestly my number one supporter. She’s been there throughout the journey, and she’s actually a huge part of my content because she’s my videographer and editor. A lot of what people see on my page wouldn’t be possible without her helping me behind the camera.”
He said he went with her to the Aritzia sale last year, so he kind of knew what to expect. He echoed what we observed: the lineup this year seemed even crazier than last year.
“A lot of people were reacting to the setup. Some people even recognized me from my content, which was surreal. Others were taking pictures or just watching and laughing.”

He also creates content for TikTok and YouTube, where some of his posts do very well. The Aritzia posts did particularly well.
Jason is coming up on his one-year anniversary on Sept. 13. His goal is to take his setup everywhere, and he’s not limiting his vision to Vancouver.
Jason told Daily Hive that a big reason he’s making these videos is to entertain people and give them a good laugh.
“I love bringing my gaming setup to places where you’d never expect someone to be playing games, seeing people’s reactions, meeting new people, and getting others involved in the fun.”
Jason’s motto is “Grind Never Stops,” which should help him achieve his goal of taking his PS5 journey global.
