(June 14, 1924 – May 20, 2009)
Yesterday world famous architect Arthur Erickson passed away at the age of 84. Although I’m not a fan of all of his work, he undoubtedly has made Vancouver a more architecturally appealing place.
The sad thing is he will never see the building that is to be named after him completed, nor will he see the Ritz-Carlton site get developed. However, his legacy in the city will live on through his work and inspiration of others.
