FEATURED EVENTS IN VANCOUVER
A Future for Memory: Art and Life After the Great East Japan Earthquake, February 11 to September 5, 2021
Whether you’ve been to Vancouver Aquarium before or if you’re a total newbie, it’s always a special moment when you see the animals.
And although there are plenty you can see in plain sight, others are less obvious. But there’s a way that you can find them – starting Monday, December 25.
That’s right, you can take part in a self-guided scavenger hunt any day until Sunday, January 7 and enter to win one of three Behind-The-Scenes tours at Vancouver Aquarium. Every month staff at the Aquarium nominate and elect their favourite animal, and they’ve rounded up these picks to create a scavenger hunt that’s fun and engaging for all ages.
Once you’re at the Aquarium, pick up the scavenger hunt card at the station located in the Teck Connections Gallery. Remember; the snowflake marks the spot!
As you explore, you’ll get to discover habitats marked with a snowflake decal that indicate the staff pick. At the habitat, you’ll collect the facts and uncover the secret word. You can then return the completed scavenger hunt card to the station to enter the contest to win the Behind-The-Scenes tour (valid for two, including general admission).
Scuba Claus will be diving at the Aquarium until December 24 so by visiting before then you can catch him before he heads back to the North Pole. Although he will be departing, the holiday festivities will be continuing at the Aquarium until January 7. These include the electric eel tree, marine debris tree, jelly snow globe, and mistle-toad!
