The Vancouver Aquarium is getting a taste of Hawaiian culture January 24 and 25 when original Hawaiian musical, Honu by the Sea, comes to entertain audiences of all ages.

Along with Oahu Visitors Bureau and the Waikiki Aquarium, the Vancouver Aquarium is presenting a weekend of Hawaiian music, culture and food, all the while educating visitors about how to better protect our oceans.

Honu by the Sea, by Disney-famed Johnson Enos, tells the story of Kaino, a Waikiki boy, as he meets Malia the Honu (Hawaiian name for green sea turtle) and her array of ocean friends.

The musical is put on by an all-Hawaiian cast and hopes to show ways of how to better care for our ocean environments.

Visitors will also be treated to Hawaiian food specials at the cafe and Hawaiian-themed family activities throughout the weekend.
