Hundreds of positions to fill in second Vancouver Airport Outlet Mall job fair

Looking for a job or perhaps a better job? Approximately 600 positions are up for grabs ahead of the upcoming early-summer opening of McArthurGlen Vancouver Airport Outlet Centre.

The European-based designer outlet centre chain held a highly successful two-day job fair last month, attracting over 1,600 applicants.

A second job fair is now scheduled for Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25 at downtown Vancouver hotel to provide prospective applicants another opportunity to fill a wide range of full-time and part-time positions in retail management, operations and sales with iconic designer brands.

No advanced appointments are necessary, but as per standard practice applicants should come prepared and bring copies of their resume and cover letter to distribute to a number of interviewers.

Please note that interviews will be conducted by the fashion and luxury brands, which are the entities offering the jobs and not McArthurGlen.

A total of 46 retailers have been announced for the first phase of the mall, including brands such as Armani, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, J. Crew, Levi’s, Under Armour, Watch Station and Ports 1961.

More brands will be announced for the outlet centre in the coming weeks and months when contracts have been finalized and signed.

A second phase will be added to the mall in two years, increasing the mall’s retail options to up to 150 stores. A further 400 jobs will be made available for the expansion.

Also along the Canada Line, Nordstrom is hiring 1,000 workers in time for the September opening of its massive Pacific Centre flagship store.
