600 positions to fill at Vancouver Airport Outlet Mall job fair this weekend

McArthurGlen will host a two-day job fair this weekend in an effort to fill 600 retail positions in time for the opening of Vancouver Airport Outlet Mall this spring.

The new open-air shopping centre is located at Vancouver International Airport on Sea Island next to the Canada Line’s Templeton Station.

The first phase opening this spring consists of 240,000 square feet of space for 80 retail shops. A second phase is slated to open in about two years, which will increase the mall footprint to 400,000 square feet and grow the outlet centre to 150 stores.

Some of the world’s most renowned fashion and luxury brands will be housed in the mall, including brands such as Giorgio Armani, Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein and Diesel.

As this is an outlet centre, shoppers can expect brands that do not have an existing physical presence at Metro Vancouver coupled with year-round savings of up to 70 per cent at the stores.

This weekend’s open-format job fair will be held at the nearby River Rock Casino Resort. No advanced appointments are necessary, but as per standard practice applicants should come prepared and bring copies of their resume and cover letter.

Please also note that interviews will be conducted by the fashion and luxury brands, which are the entities offering the jobs and not McArthurGlen. Position openings include retail management, operations and sales in both full-time and part-time capacities.
