Vancouver 2010 St. Patrick's Day Pub Guide (and Contest!)

With so much going on in this city the last little while many have forgotten that St. Patrick’s day is just around the corner. As many of you already know the annual parade and Celtic Fest has been canceled this year, due to the Paralympics. Rest assure Vancouverites the parade and festival are back on for next year. In the mean time, what better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day then having a few brews with good friends, I’m talking pub crawls my friends. Oh and we’d like to giveaway a couple of tee’s as well.

Here are a few places/events you make want to check out:

Taylor’s Crossing (North Vancouver) Annual Pub Crawls and St. Patty’s Bash:
Attendees will head on over to Yaletown Brew Pub, Doolins, Dix and then back to Taylor’s Crossing. Once at Taylor’s 6pm, there will be a performance by local Irish dancers, followed by a cover band (featuring a friend of mine) playing a 30 min acoustic set (with covers of Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Pink, etc). The band will play3 more sets, in between periods of the Canucks game and one after. It’s a pretty popular place for the game as they put all sleeves on special for $3.95 and 1lb wings go for $3.95 too. How can you go wrong with those prices.
Saturday March 13, tickets are $25.

Shamrock Club Crawl @ The Blarney Stone
The Student Tours St Patricks Day “Shamrock” Club Crawl is back for 2010. This is the one…the only… the original… Canada’s biggest and best, most notorious St. Paddy’s party of the year!Tickets are scarce and you may be out of luck for this one.

Ceilis Irish Pub & Restaurant
One of my favourite places to go on the strip even when it isn’t St. Patty’s day, so you know this place will be just that much better this weekend.
