Vancouver 2010 Olympics: Richmond O-Zone

Dec 19 2017, 12:03 pm

Island city Richmond is throwing the biggest and greatest party of all. The O-Zone is massive at 60 acres, located next to City Hall into Minoru Park. A ten minute walk from the Skytrain station makes it convenient, and transportation is convenient. There is a plethora of entertainment choices and number of things to do, whether you’re looking for family-friendly or party events. Bands like Our Lady Peace, Hawksley Workman, Bedouin Soundclash, Tokyo Police Club and Wintersleep will be live. Some of the things to do, include:

“Mammoth ice art, massive high-definition screen, outdoor skating on real ice, entertainment from around the region and around the world, art, athletes, exhibits, virtual reality (bobsleigh ride anyone?), food and fireworks.”

Hell, Vancouver doesn’t have fireworks for New Years!

One of the most exciting parts of the O-Zone is the Holland Heineken House. Tens of thousands visited the House in Turin. This is the place to be, especially at night with acclaimed Dutch DJs spinning European beats to crazy party-goers. The Vancity Buzz crew will definitely be here.

Best of all, most of all the events are free. But, for those looking to celebrate in Richmond in some truly luxurious private lounges and suites, there are packages available here.
