Vancouver 2010 Olympic Street Plan Maps (Road Closures & Parking Restrictions)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock I’m sure you are well aware of the upcoming street plan during the 2010 Olympic games which was released yesterday by VANOC. Naturally this has led to a boatload of complaints sprinkled with a little bit of common sense every now and then. Ultimately I like the plan, however I don’t understand the need for parking restrictions on Cambie. The Cambie businesses are getting hammered yet again. However, overall the planned pedestrian only streets and increase in transit will aid in the festival like atmosphere the Olympics will create.

So go downtown and soak in the atmosphere, its Free! Or you can continue to complain and have them fall on deaf ears all the whilst increasing your stress and blood pressure levels. It’s your choice, after all we are a city of whiners and entitlement are we not?
