This video captures the true spirit of the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics. Sure all the gold medals were great and if Sidney Crosby hadn’t scored that goal on that mild winter afternoon we would have been devastated, however, none of that could take away from what the games did to this city. The true legacy of the games will not be the buildings or the public art. It will be the realization that the city and its residents want more. More arts, more festivals, more community events, etc. The Olympics were a turning point in this young city’s journey. A turning point to truly becoming a world class city.
