We’ve all seen the BC “Best Place on Earth” television ads. However, do these ads have any credence? Fortunately, a couple of us at Vancity Buzz had the opportunity to venture out to Kelowna at the Playa Del Sol Resort to experience Beautiful British Columbia first hand this May long weekend.
Not only are there spectacular views, the wide array of activities available within such close proximity is surprising. Outdoor activities include boating, golfing, scuba diving, skiing, amongst many others. Of course, it depends on what time of the year you visit Kelowna to enjoy the variety available. There are also wineries, shops and great restaurants.
The night life was also decent with Gotcha and Level being our destinations. The music was better than most Vancouver clubs. The crowd is also much better looking. We quickly developed the “90% rule.”
The resort itself was amazing. There was a large pool and hot tub, cabana restaurant and bar, and even a coffee shop. The rooms were luxurious vacation condos with new furniture and furnishings.
In the end, the Vancity Buzz crew had an awesome time and look forward to visiting Kelowna again.
