Love is in the air at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
While there have been plenty of highs and lows for several American athletes at Milano Cortina 2026, things have been nothing short of exceptional for the women’s hockey team. They’ve gone a perfect 6-0-0 to start the tournament and are set to take on Canada in the gold medal game on Thursday.
And, while they hope to win gold on the ice, they already have plenty of reason to celebrate.
Hilary Knight, regarded as one of the best female players on the planet, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce her engagement to Brittany Bowe, who is also well known as an American speed skater.

“Olympics brought us together. This one made us forever,” Knight captioned her post. The two first met at Beijing 2022.
Knight, 36, is playing in her fifth Winter Olympics. She’s won three silvers to date, along with a gold, which came in the 2018 PyeongChang Games. Despite all the miles she’s logged over the years, she continues to be a big piece of the U.S. roster, having scored two goals and five points through six games.
As for Bowe, this is her fourth Winter Olympics after appearing in Beijing, PyeongChang, and Sochi. Though she didn’t medal this year, she has two bronze medals to her name. The first came back in 2018 in the team pursuit, while the second came in 2022 in the women’s 1000 metre.
While the focus, specifically for Knight, is on Thursday’s game versus Canada, the two will soon begin to get to work on planning what should be an incredible wedding.
