There’s a second Urban Outfitters store that is opening in Vancouver. Located on 2199 W. 4th Avenue, in the city’s Kitsilano neighborhood, the new UO store will open its doors on May 10, 2012, in the former Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Originally constructed by Smith and Sherborne General Contractors in 1912, the buildings has gone through renovations to be transformed into the latest Urban Outfitters retail experience.
The building received an addition to the rear in 1956 and another in 2001 which included the construction of a mezzanine. The space maintains the integrity of the existing structure and has been carefully designed to incorporate original materials and found objects wherever possible.
We look forward to seeing the store come together in Kitsilano. A great addition to the retail shopping market!
