Uncle Tetsu’s Metrotown location is officially opening this week
The countdown for Uncles Tetsu’s first BC location is almost over – we are just days away from getting some of that infamously-fluffy cheesecake.
The new shop will be located right next to the MUJI store in the Hudson’s Bay wing of the mall, and it’s opening this week on Friday, May 18.
You may have heard about the lineups for Uncle Tetsu’s famous Japanese cheesecakes, which are hot stamped with the popular chain’s logo and limited to one cake per customer due to high demand.
Defined by its height and its too-good-to-be-true fluffiness, this variety of cheesecake looks like it was made by happy tree elves in a fairytale. Luckily this is real life, and it is indeed a real kind of cake.
Patrons can expect cheesecake, honey madeleine, and Uncle Tetsu’s Rusk (signature Japanese cheesecake in biscuit size) from the soon-to-open Metrotown location.
