Unbuckled: Vancouver’s Ultimate Backyard BBQ returns to Stanley Park

Unbuckled, Vancouver’s Ultimate Backyard BBQ, will be coming back to Stanley Park on September 10.

In keeping with last year’s down-home agenda, Unbuckled will combine plenty of tasty BBQ, a licensed Saloon, fun games and competitions, and a concert with country/bluegrass bands.

Year two will include an increased capacity of 2,500 and complimentary food and drink with each general admission or Early Bird ticket.

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a complimentary brew (or non-alcoholic beverage), a smokie (vegetarian options also available), and a freezie.

Year two will also include extended hours from 1 pm until dark (around 9:30 pm), where the Brockton Baseball Diamond will get Dixie fried, down home, and fully countrified.

It’s an escape to an unpretentious community gathering, replete with hay bales, pickup trucks, flannel and burlap galore, picnic blankets, and plenty of southern comfort.

Put on your Southern best or take us to Hazzard County with plaid, tank tops, and Daisy Dukes shorts. Feeling more Chuck Norris? Make Walker Texas Ranger proud with your best cowboy hat, boots, and outrageous belt buckle.

In addition, there are a variety of games to compete in, including Pioneer Pong, King of the Rodeo, and Hillbilly Hustle to win unique prizes including the Champion Unbuckled Belt Buckles.

Over the course of this hard playin’ day, live bluegrass, and country rock will belt out the soundtrack and the event be facilitated by costumed hosts making sure everyone gets the solid gold treatment and real southern comfort.

The day wouldn’t be complete without a rib tickling BBQ and thirst-quenching beverages.

Guests can indulge in beer-can chicken, smokies, corn-dogs, burgers, steaks, ribs, corn on the cob, and watermelon and refresh with their beverage of choice anywhere at the fully licensed site. Leave the little cowpokes at home as this event is 19+ only.

A limited amount of Early Bird tickets for Unbuckled go on sale on Tuesday, July 12, at 10 am for only $25 each with the promo code GETLOOSE.

Regular tickets will go on sale at 10 am on Friday, July 15, priced $30 to $45.
