The ultimate guide to Vancouver craft brewery tasting rooms

We love our craft beer in Vancouver, and there’s no better way to taste that local brew than directly from the source.

Many craft breweries in Metro Vancouver offer tasting rooms to sample their unique brews; we’ve collected the info so you know exactly where to go.

33 Acres

33 Acres, one of many new breweries located around Main Street, took a different approach with their tasting room. With a clean, modern west coast design the tasting room is simple allowing you to focus on the beer and locally sourced snack menu. Oh, and don’t forget the daily food truck rotations.

Bomber Brewing

Bomber Brewing has a great location along the popular Adanac and Mosaic bike routes in East Van (Like another brewery further down this list). The staff is super friendly and if it’s not too busy, they are happy to tour you through the back room so you can see how they brew the stuff your drinking.

Brassneck Brewery

Brassneck Brewery has a beautiful rustic fill and tasting room (header image) right on Main Street. In addition to the quality beer, they serve a selection of jerky and pepperoni and most evenings have food trucks camped outside so you can bring dinner in with you.

Hours: Monday to Friday 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday and Sun Noon to 11 p.m.

Bridge Brewing

Having recently moved locations, Bridge Brewing now has an even bigger tap room to accommodate all the interest in this nano-turned-micro brewery on the North Shore.

Central City Brewing

You can’t miss this massive brewery out in Surrey. Central City not only has a dedicated tap room and liquor store but also a massive restaurant attached. Plus it’s close to the SkyTrain, which makes a trip out to the brewery very easy.

Dageraad Brewing

This Burnaby based brewery specializes in Belgian style beer, and quite frankly Dageraad will be some of the best Belgian beer you’ll taste this side of the Atlantic.

Hours: Wednesday to Friday 4 p.m.  to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers

They may be out in North Van, but that doesn’t stop Deep Cove from having a lot of fun! Their expansive tasting room frequently hosts events and local musicians and there’s usually a pizzeria food truck parked out front. More than worth the trip.

Four Winds Brewing

If you’re really dedicated to craft beer, trekking to Delta to make a stop at Four Winds is a must. The tasting room recently went through a renovation to accommodate more people and you’ll be rewarded with some of the best beer in BC.

Hours: Monday to Saturday Noon to 6 p.m., Sunday Noon to 5 p.m.

Green Leaf Brewing

An excellent addition to Lonsdale Quay, Green Leaf Brewing adds a full tasting room to the already eclectic offerings at the quay.

Location: 123 Carrie Cates Court
Hours: Sunday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and  Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Off The Rail Brewery

One of the newest breweries to enter the scene, Off the Rail is incredibly close to Bomber Brewing which makes a two-for-one visit a must.

Hours: Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.to 6 p.m.

Just around the corner from Brassneck Brewery and right off Main Street, you’d be surprised that this huge yellow building is actually out of sight. Main Street offers a limited dining menu along with their tasting room, and an express growler fill area if you’re just there to pick up.

Parallel 49

Arguably one of the first breweries to help popularize craft beer in Vancouver, Parallel 49 offers a wide selection of beer at their tasting room as well as a selection of hard to find Parallel beers in their fridge.

Postmark Brewing

Located in the Settlement building, Postmark shares the space with Vancouver Urban Winery and Belgard Kitchen. The expansive space is great for drinks, but if you’re in a rush there’s a walk-up growler window to suit your needs.

Powell Street Brewing

Another brewery that has recently moved to fit their rapid expansion, Powell Street is worth the trip down to sample their unique beer. They weren’t awarded best beer in Canada for nothing!

Steel & Oak Brewing

Out in New West, Steel & Oak has a great medium sized tap room that seems to be constantly busy. Try the Smoked Heff when they have it in stock.

The Grandfather of Vancouver craft brewing, Storm has a tasting room….of sorts. Everything is just a jumble of chaos in Storm which is totally the point. Storm is amazing, go sample beer in the heart of it all.

Strange Fellows Brewing

Another new addition to the Vancouver brewery scene, Strange Fellows is a unique take on beer. They’ve embraced the weird and the decor reflects it. Sour beer will be their speciality.

Yellow Dog is based in Port Moody but has a large tasting room for visitors and like the name, they embrace the family pet as well with an outdoor seating area for you and your pooch.
