Jul 21 2016, 9:18 am

The much-anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz at UFC 202 is set for Saturday, August 20 on pay-per-view.

McGregor will be out for revenge against Diaz, who beat the Irishman via submission at UFC 196 in March. It’s a fight that’s shaping up to be one of the most memorable clashes to ever grace the Octagon. It’s no surprise that there’s a lot of excitement riding on this event worldwide – after all, UFC has more than 260 million fans globally.

Even if you weren’t one of the lucky few to get tickets to the event in Las Vegas, you can still enjoy all the thrills of fight night. Don’t believe us? Here are four reasons for throwing a viewing party on August 20.

A guaranteed seat

Get comfy instead of standing on your feet all night. Attend a viewing party with your buds and that cushion on the couch has your name on it. A beer has never tasted better.

Affordable

A viewing party means you’re saving lots of cash. You can split the cost of pay-per-view between you and your friends. Even better, a potluck or sharing cost of food and drinks is easy on your wallet.

Speaking of food, a viewing party is the perfect excuse to throw a BBQ or a potluck. Extend an invitation to your friends and neighbours to get everyone riled up.

No lineups

No need to wait in a lineup. By hosting or attending a viewing party you automatically save yourself from any long lines. Another plus of a viewing party is that you’ll have lots of room for you and your friends, with some to spare!
