Tyrel Craig, 27, has plead guilty to assaulting a fellow UBC student at the Totem Park Residence last March.

Craig was arrested on March 18, after attempting to drag a female student into the bushes in what was described as a violent assault.

The victim was able to escape and alerted authorities, who took Craig into custody, where he was charged with sexual assault and assaulting a police officer. The sexual assault charge has since been changed to assault.

Craig is next in court October 7 for a pre-sentencing hearing.
