FEATURED EVENTS IN YOUR CITY

Dance around and cover yourself with colourful powder at this year’s UBC HOLI festival on March 23.

Taking place on the UBC campus, the event will run from 11 am to 4 pm.

The highly anticipated festival is celebrating equality with colours, and UBC’s Indian Students Association wants you to be a part of it. Come to the event dressed in all white and be prepared to have a ton of fun.

The Hindu festival, Holi, marking the coming of spring, is celebrated in Northern India on the last full moon of the month. It will be observed starting March 20, with the UBC event happening just days later.

Acclaimed Bollywood music maker, Khanvict, from Decibel Entertainment, will be spinning his favourite tracks throughout the day to celebrate Holi and keep you dancing.

The event will feature scrumptious Indian food truck so you can enjoy the aromas and flavourful food on offer.

Don’t worry about scrambling to buy powder before the event — the festival organizers will have some on site that you can buy. Just remember to bring cash to buy them — it’s recommended that you arrive early so you’re properly equipped for the party.

Over 3,000 people attended the last event; everyone is waiting for this year’s reprise of HOLI.
