Dance around and cover yourself with colourful powder at this year’s UBC HOLI festival on March 24.
Taking place on the UBC campus, the event will run from 11 am to 4 pm.
The highly anticipated festival is celebrating equality with colours and UBC’s Indian Students Association wants you to be a part of it. Come to the event dressed in all white and be prepared to have a ton of fun.
The Hindu festival which marks the coming of spring, Holi, is celebrated in Northern India on the last full moon of the month. It was observed on March 2, with the UBC event occurring later this month.

Acclaimed Bollywood music maker, Khanvict from Decibel Entertainment will be spinning his favourite tracks throughout the day to celebrate Holi and keep you dancing.
The event will feature a scrumptious Indian food truck so you can enjoy the aromas and flavourful food on offer.
Don’t worry about scrambling to buy powder before the event – the festival organizers will have some on site that you can buy. Just remember to bring cash to buy them – it’s recommended that you arrive early so you’re properly equipped for the party.
With more than a 1000 people attending the last event, everyone is waiting for this year’s reprise of HOLI. Tickets are on sale online and sales are already matching previous numbers.
Students and attendees of Holi can make their way to the Vancouver Art Gallery for Khanvict’s JUNOfest performance for the afterparty.
