Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians. CF targets the lungs and the digestive system, making it hard for the patient to breath and digest their food.
So, in an effort to try and find a cure, UBC students are doing their part in the campaign as they have been since 1995! Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser involving students at almost 60 university and college campuses across Canada. You can make a difference and be one of the students to help UBC reach its 2013 goal of $65,000.
When: Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: The Pit Pub at UBC’s Student Union Building
Dress Code: Gentlemen rock that tie & ladies show off that LBD, essentially just dress to impress!
Prizes:
- 1st place – $200 visa card + $50 gift card to Cactus Club
- 2nd place – $150 visa card
- 3rd place – $50 visa card + $25 gift card to Starbucks
$15 buy-in & a raffle with all proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis Canada
