23-year-old UBC Alumnus Brian Wong makes Entrepreneur Magazine front cover as Top Young Millionaire

Dec 19 2017, 7:53 pm

The last check in we had with Brian Wong was at the start of summer when he made the Forbes 30 under 30 list at age 22. Now at 23, Brian decided to take over another major publication as he topped the cover as one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s young millionaires. If he doesn’t make the cover of TIME magazine by 24, we at Vancity Buzz will be severely disappointed.

Brian got on his hot streak since founding Kiip, a mobile rewards network that enables brands and companies to prompt consumers for commercial offers on virtual achievements.

It takes your serendipitous moments of happiness so for example, when you level up in an app or hit a milestone on your run, you win a voucher for something like a bottle of propel water or a bag of Skittles.

In three years, Kiip has raised $15.4 million and is now used by more than 500 major brands to reach 70 million users through 1,500 games and apps. Procter & Gamble, Pepsi and Disney are among the company’s clients. He expects to be profitable next year.
