I think by now we can all agree that Robson Square (or GE Plaza for you corporate goons) has been quite the success since it opened up in late November. I just came back to witness the square during a snow fall and boy was it magical. So for those of you interested Robson Square in Downtown Vancouver is celebrating the 12 days of Christmas. Today take your kids to meet Santa Claus as he will be skating and twirling on the ice all day. Continue reading for more information on this family friendly event:
Each day, about 2,000 people are enjoying the ice rink at GE Plaza since it opened on November 23, thanks to a partnership between the Province and GE. The ice rink is open for public skating from noon to 9:00 p.m. daily.
During the Twelve Days of Christmas, from December 13 to 24, Robson Square will feature daily free entertainment, visits from Santa and craft activities for children.
Exciting events and entertainment will continue at Robson Square as B.C. prepares to host the 2010 Winter Games, including a children’s New Year’s Eve celebration and a Winter Games Festival in early January.
