Turbo by Trans Am and Boombox Brewing launch basketball collection

You may have already had the chance to enjoy a handheld from Turbo by Trans Am after it reopened its doors with a new concept this summer, but here’s a reason to go back to the East Van joint.

The 1879 Powell Street burger purveyor is launching an epic basketball-themed collection of goodies with Boombox Brewing, and it’s all happening this week.

Inspired by Boombox founder Kent Courtice’s love for basketball, the BaseLine Dunk Collection features a limited-edition Baseline Dunk India Pale Ale (singles and four-packs) and IPA glassware in four team colourways.

In addition to the brews, folks can order burger-and-beer combos starting at $20 and enjoy eats like Turbo’s classic cheeseburger, bacon and cheeseburger, or the new Triple Double.

Aside from grub, basketball fans can look forward to feasting their eyes on vintage basketball memorabilia available for purchase, like a pair of 1985 “Chicago” Jordan 1s, to name just one item.

Turbo by Trans Am and Boombox are releasing their BaseLine Dunk Collection Wednesday, October 28 at 4 pm. You’ll be able to enjoy this three-day beer, burger, and merchandise drop at Turbo until October 30.

After the 30th, folks can find any remaining beer and glassware from the collection on Boombox’s website.
